The Comoran Army backed by 1,500 AU troops retook an Island that had been controlled by rebels. It was justly done and there's nothing too controversial about it. The Island Anjouran which was semi-autonomous tried to break free of central control after the central authorities declared the new Anjouan Presidents election illegal. France is though to of liked the Anjouan President, so he has fled to the French Island of Mayotte. Protesters have rallied outside the French embassy in Moroni, capital of the Comoros to get the President extradited. France should now negotiate that with the Comoros. If they don't it's France interfering. Like in Chad they've backed the government perhaps controversially. But thats's not as shameful as when they backed the Hutu extremist Government around the Rwandan Genocide partly because the Tutsi rebels from Uganda spoke English and they wanted Rwanda to stay French speaking. In fact wife of President Habyarimana, Agathe Habyarimana, who is thought to of been involved in the planning of the genocide was evacuated by the French after her husband was killed. Today she lives in a rich Paris suburb. Let's hope France use appropriate diplomacy here.
