Middle East Divided over Lebanon

Lebanon has been in political deadlock over choosing a President since November. Saudi Arabia and Egypt being pro-Western support the pro-Western Lebanese Government. Syria and Iran support the pro-Syrian opposition. Each side in Lebanon accuses the other of blocking the appointment. It's caused the Saudi King and the Egyptian President to say they won't attend the Arab League conference in Syria. They haven't fully boycotted it though, which the Lebanese Government has. I don't expect that will help anything. I don't expect the Bush Administration would ask them to go to the conference as they prefer isolationism rather than talking to enemies.
